So there’s this really cool app that integrates the Cityrail time table and even has an awesome scrolling tv mode much like the tvs at train stations. here and here..
The problem is that Cityrail has decided that these infringe copyright but also that they do not accurately reflect changes in the time table or real time changes on when trains will arrive/depart.
My solution for the creator of the awesome app would be to add real time updates of Cityrail train time tables using freely available and thus non copyright sources to tell where the trains are.
Here’s how it works. You’d input the station your at. Say Paramatta.
Next you’d enter in your destination station. Lets say Town Hall.
The iphone app would then switch to TV mode and inform you that the train you wish to catch has been delayed or canceled.
