Basically the US congress is considering passing a new Communications Opportunity, Promotion and Enchancement Act (
COPE). This act allows the service provider to control the content that you view, the speed to any given site and even which programs you can access. Just add money and "business plans" into the mix and you'll soon catch my drift.
I would advise you to take a closer look at what
net neutrality is, and make up your own mind. For our US readers, there is a
petition you can sign to oppose this insane act.
