I’m looking at getting a Toyota Corolla Sedan, maybe the 2000 model, I saw a one advertised on drive.com.au, but I’ll assume it’s sold by now.

The main reason why I’m looking this model is for some reason it is supposed to provide significantly more protection than the average car, the only other small car to get that rating was the Peugeot 306.

Although from the redbook it seems like a camry from the same year is actually cheaper to buy.

You’re not Indian, and hence not qualified to drive a Camry.

Assuming I’m thinking of the right car, the mental image of you in a compact is amusing to say the least.

Many small cars nowadays have much better protection than you think.

Tell me your price range and I’ll come up with a few options for you.

I’m looking at getting a small car soon myself, so I’ve done a bit of research. Might know something that you have missed etc.

Also – what’s the reason you have for a small car? Is it the size ie driving in city, or is it for fuel consumption etc. etc. If you could tell me what you need the car for, and what you’re mainly looking for in a car, I might have some suggestions for you.

I really think you should consider an ‘86, if only for nathan’s amusement.

Family cars lose their value almost immediately, hence the cheap Camry (or in my case, Commodore). Small cars are relatively expensive, even older ones.

From owning a Commodore, and working near the city, I can say that getting a large car for city driving is ridiculous. Consider that smaller cars are more fuel efficient for city driving, fit in city parking spots, are cheaper to run, and you can see why most people buy small cars.
